The M4 Sherman was the workhorse of the American armored divisions, known for its reliability and the logistical efficiency of its crews. During the breakout from Normandy and the subsequent race across France, tank crews often spent their limited rest periods 'bombing up'—the physically demanding process of hand-loading heavy high-explosive and armor-piercing shells into the turret and hull racks. This logistical tail was what kept the 'Hell on Wheels' division moving at a lightning pace against German defensive lines.\n\nThis detailed set features 5 US Army figures in specialized logistics and crew poses specifically designed to interact with a 1/35 scale Sherman tank. The inventory includes two tankers seated on the hull or turret edge, one loader standing on the ground hoisting a 75mm shell, and two support personnel in crouching and reaching poses to facilitate the transfer of ammunition crates and loose rounds. Each figure is detailed with accurate tanker jackets, M1 helmets, and period-correct field uniforms.
