Troops of the 4th and 5th Indian Infantry Divisions were renowned for their bravery and endurance during the grueling battles of the Western Desert. These soldiers, frequently featuring Sikh infantrymen in traditional turbans, were experts in night raids and desert navigation, earning a fearsome reputation during the Breakthrough at El Alamein. They were typically equipped with the standard British Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) rifle and wore the lightweight tropical 'Khaki Drill' shorts and shirts suited for the Mediterranean climate.\n\nThis high-detail resin set includes 2 infantry figures in characteristic desert combat gear. The physical inventory consists of one standing soldier in a turban advancing with a Lee-Enfield rifle and fixed bayonet, and a second standing soldier in a turban resting with his rifle held vertically, both featuring detailed web gear and puttees.
