Above the Clouds: 101st Airborne Pre-Flight

The paratroopers of the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions were heavily laden with equipment for the D-Day landings, often carrying over 100 pounds of gear including their main parachute, reserve chute, M1 Garand or M1A1 carbine, and enough ammunition and rations to survive for days without resupply. These 'Screaming Eagles' became legendary for their actions in Normandy, particularly in securing the causeways leading off the Utah Beach landing zones.\n\nThis set includes 5 uniquely posed US Paratroopers in highly detailed M1942 jump suits and harness systems. The physical inventory features one squad leader pointing out objectives, three troopers standing with full jump packs and leg bags, and one paratrooper armed with an M1A1 folding-stock carbine, along with one additional detached rucksack piece.
