On the German side, the Tiger I Ausf. E, specifically hull #312, was painted in a three-color ambush scheme and marked with the 505th's charging knight crest, serving as a formidable anchor against the Soviet advance. Meanwhile in Italy, American forces countered with speed using the M18 Hellcat, such as registration #40144871 of the "Black Cat" variant, which used hit-and-run tactics to disrupt enemy lines during the difficult push through the peninsula.
