The Flakscheinwerfer units were an integral part of the Atlantic Wall and the urban air defense networks across Europe. Operated by highly trained Luftwaffe personnel, these units worked in close coordination with sound detectors and radar to create a 'light belt' that forced enemy pilots into predictable flight paths, making them vulnerable to anti-aircraft fire.\n\nThe set includes 1 medium-sized searchlight unit with detailed internal reflector housing and a supporting generator or control trailer base.
