The Siege of Leningrad remains one of the most prolonged and lethal military operations in history, characterized by extreme environmental conditions and attrition. Wehrmacht soldiers stationed in the frozen marshlands around the city were forced to adapt quickly, utilizing heavy wool greatcoats, reversible winter parkas, and toque headgear to survive the Russian winter. These troops maintained a ring of steel around the city, engaging in frequent skirmishes and enduring the psychological toll of a static front line buried in snow.\n\nThis set includes 6 individual German infantry miniatures in various standing and patrol poses, perfectly capturing the aesthetic of the Eastern Front in winter. The figures are equipped with a diverse array of period-accurate weaponry, including the MP 40 submachine gun, Karabiner 98k rifles, and an MG 34 machine gun carried over the shoulder. Detail work highlights winter-specific gear such as heavy overcoats, thermal leggings, and specialized cold-weather field equipment.
