The medical evacuation chain of the US Army was highly efficient, beginning with the courageous stretcher bearers who moved casualties from the point of injury to Battalion Aid Stations. These men operated under the protection of the Geneva Convention, though they frequently faced indirect fire and the chaos of active battlefields. Their ability to quickly transport wounded GIs significantly increased survival rates, ensuring that soldiers received life-saving surgical intervention as quickly as possible.\n\nThe set includes 3 highly detailed figures in a poignant medical scene. The inventory consists of 2 stretcher bearers in M1 helmets with full field gear, including canteens and ammo pouches, and 1 wounded infantryman lying on a collapsible field stretcher, hand resting on the frame as he is being transported to safety.
