Title
The early-war German tanker was defined by the iconic black wool panzer jacket and the large, padded 'Schutzmütze' beret, which was designed to protect the head from bumps inside the tank's interior. This uniform was highly practical for the fluid, fast-moving battles of the Blitzkrieg through the Low Countries and France, where coordination between crews and their commanders was the key to rapid victory. Many commanders in this period, such as those under Rommel, were noted for their aggressive forward-leaning leadership styles, often observing the battlefield from open hatches.\n\nThis precision-cast resin set includes 4 detailed figures representing a complete early-war vehicle complement. The inventory consists of one standing officer with a peaked cap and sidearm holster, two seated crew members wearing the characteristic padded berets for interior placement, and one standing loader or radio operator in a standard side cap.
