Desmond Doss: The Hero of Okinawa
Honor the incredible legacy of a true American hero with this masterfully crafted resin figure. This model captures the harrowing intensity of the Pacific War, depicting the moment a lone medic risks everything to bring a fallen soldier home. It is a must-have for collectors who value the human element of history, offering a tangible connection to one of the most remarkable acts of selfless bravery ever recorded on the battlefield.
Corporal Desmond Doss of the 307th Infantry Regiment, 77th Infantry Division, remains a singular figure in military history for his actions during the Battle of Okinawa in 1945. As a conscientious objector who refused to bear arms, Doss served as a combat medic, eventually saving 75 lives atop the Maeda Escarpment. Despite being wounded by a grenade and enemy snipers, his unwavering dedication to his fellow soldiers led him to become the first conscientious objector in history to be awarded the Medal of Honor.
