21st Century Toys Ultimate Soldier F4U-1A Corsair "White 29" Ira Kepford VF-17 1/18

White 29 belonged to Lt. (j.g.) Ira "Ike" Kepford, top-scoring ace of VF-17 - the original Jolly Rogers - who ran up 16 kills over Bougainville and Rabaul, including twelve in the swirling early-1944 battles that broke the last Japanese air resistance in the South Pacific. The tail is stencilled NAVY 55995 / F4U-1A and the pilot's name sits right under the canopy rail.

The most famous Corsair scheme in the hobby, done at massive 1:18 scale by 21st Century Toys (Part No. 10127). Folding wings, retractable landing gear, sliding canopy, detailed cockpit with a poseable 1:18 pilot action figure, removable drop tank and fully poseable control surfaces. Opened but still wired to its factory display tray. Long out of production and the single most requested subject in the line.
