21st Century Toys Ultimate Soldier XD F4U-1D Corsair "White 412" 1/18

The bent-wing bird the Japanese called "Whistling Death" - the Vought F4U Corsair went from a carrier reject to the most feared fighter in the Pacific. This one wears late-war overall Sea Blue with a bright yellow cowl ring and yellow control-surface tips, side number 412, and fuselage stencilling reading F4U-1D NAVY 124412 with a "T" tail marking.

Part of 21st Century Toys' legendary 1:18 Ultimate Soldier XD line (discontinued since the company folded in the late 2000s), this is a big display piece - roughly 22" long with a 28" span. Opened but factory-wired to its tray: removable drop tanks, poseable control surfaces, retractable gear, folding wings, detailed cockpit with a 1:18 pilot figure, and an unopened parts bag. A serious centerpiece for any WWII aviation shelf.
